New Reasons to Love Google! #google #amwriting #tech

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Google. Not just appreciate its portability, its device agnostic nature. Not just that it AUTO saves as you work so nothing is ever lost. Not just that anything on Google is safe when my computer crashes. I love it because it's always evolving, always improving and always free.

So the minor change of Google's logo triggered a suspicion that more features may have been added and guess what? They have! 

Here are the ones I've found so far:

1. Voice Typing- integrated directly into Google Docs and located in the dropdown Tools tab, you no longer have to use a third-party add-on!
2. Templates!- when you create a new document, you now have some simple templates to save you precious time. It's like someone understands how busy I am. Most helpful to me is the newsletter template that I can change to fit my needs. As with all Google docs, I can make my perfect newsletter into a Google template file, one I can open every time I create an author newsletter and not worry I've screwed up a published one. Oh, yeah, and you can publish the newsletter to the web just like any other Google doc.
